2nd person dies in Lawndale shooting: police

Two men were shot and killed Wednesday in Lawndale on the West Side.

Officers responding to a call of shots fired about 6:25 p.m. in the 1300 block of South Homan Avenue found a 25-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the head, Chicago police said.

Jim Brown of Homan Square was pronounced dead at the scene, police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

Tristan Gordon, 36, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition with gunshot wounds to the arm and abdomen, police and the medical examiner’s office said. He was pronounced dead the next day at 2:24 a.m.

No arrests have been reported. Area Four detectives are investigating.
