A person died early Monday in a fire in northwest Indiana.
The Lake County coroner’s office was called about 2:20 a.. to a location of a fire at a home in the 7900 block of Rhode Court in Dyer, the office said in a statement.
A male, whose identity has not been released, was pronounced dead about 4 a.m., the coroner’s office said. Autopsy results were pending Monday afternoon.
The Dyer Fire Department has not replied to a request for details.
The Indiana State Fire Marshall responded to the scene, the coroner’s office said.
