Three men were shot Wednesday morning, one fatally, in South Chicago, police said.

Two males with dreadlocks walked up and fired at the group at 10:36 a.m. in the 8500 block of South Exchange, according to Chicago police.

A 22-year-old man was shot in the face, neck and chest and was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office did not immediately release details about the fatality.

The two other men, both 18, were also taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in serious condition, police said. One of them was shot in the face and shoulder while the other suffered a gunshot wound to the left leg.

No arrests have been made as Area South detectives investigate.
