1 current, 1 former Steeler make USA TODAY All-Decade team

Jarrett Bell of USA TODAY put out his All-Decade team this week and it really highlights the sheer volume of talent in the league over the last 10 years. With the number of elite players in the league over the last decade, narrowing it down to just a single team couldn’t have been easy.

The Pittsburgh Steelers landed two players on the team…sort of.

First up the Steelers get center Maurkice Pouncey. Pittsburgh has a tradition for having some of the best centers in league history. And like Mike Webster and Dermontti Dawson, Pouncey is always considered among the elite centers in the league. Pouncey was the team’s first-round pick in 2010 and despite missing almost all of 2013, has come back and remains among the elite among offensive linemen in the NFL.

Then the Steelers landed wide receiver Antonio Brown. Obviously, he doesn’t play for the Steelers anymore but his nine seasons with the Steelers were incredible. Six straight seasons of at least 100 receptions is rarified air and in spite of the fact the relationship between the Steelers and Brown melted down so badly, Brown’s impact on the field during the decade cannot be denied.
