$1.8m sale in Nulkaba as Cessnock appeal continues to grow

This home at 21 Fletcher Street, Nulkaba was secured by a Sydney buyer for $1.8 million for use as a weekender.

Baird Real Estate's Heath Baird has described the $1.8 million sale of a stunning Nulkaba rural retreat as "a huge result for the area".

Mr Baird listed the five-bedroom, three-bathroom residence on 2.5 acres 21 Fletcher Street with a guide of $1.65 million.

The property also featured a "state-of-the-art" swimming pool complete with an undercover spa and a resort-style cabana.

It was purchased by a Sydney buyer, looking to use the property as a weekender, within two weeks on the market.

"There was a lot of interest and that's a Cessnock LGA record for a residential property, that's a home on under five acres of land," Mr Baird said.

"It's just showing how much faith people are putting in the Hunter Valley. It's not uncommon for us to be selling properties in the $700,000s in Cessnock now. It's showing that people love the space and land here with bigger block sizes on offer."

"It's a very tightly held area and is quite sought after because of where it is situated," Mr Dorman said.
