BHOPAL: The second round of mega vaccination drive for protection from deadly coronavirus will be held in Bhopal on August 25 & 26. During these two days, the district administration will target at vaccination of 1.50 lakh people, the target surpassed in the first round of vaccination held on the World Yoga Day, June 21.
District collector Avinash Lavania in a meeting of district task force directed officials to carry out an extensive public awareness programme to make the mega vaccination drive, a grand success. He asked officials of various departments concerned to work according to the plan chalked out for the mega vaccination drive. He asked the district education officer, women & child development officer and BMC officials and staff to prepare a roaster plan and work accordingly. He asked officials to contact persons, who have got the first jab, to motivate them to get the second dose as well.
He further directed SDMs to organise 10 to 15 special vaccination camps in areas under their jurisdiction and said the special camps should be organised at the same place, where it was held in the first mega vaccination drive. Teams of women & child development department, school education and BMC will contact people in the areas concerned to motivate them for vaccination.
Lavania said that efforts are being made to obtain maximum possible vaccines for Bhopal district and there is a possibility that we shall get a quota of 2 lakh vaccines for the mega drive. He asked the officials concerned to review the plan of execution once to ensure a 100 percent success of the mega camp.
