An office building in Birmingham city centre is undergoing a £1.2 million facelift.
The work at One Colmore Row will create a new glazed lobby entrance facing onto onto the square outside Snow Hill station.
There will also be an enlarged reception space with informal meeting areas, coffee point and workspace alongside additional facilities such as cycle storage and showers.
A vacant suite on the sixth-floor is also undergoing a fit out which includes lift lobby enhancements and an enlarged entrance into the office space.
The refurbishment is being carried out by contractor Overbury and is due to complete by the end of this year.
Steve Townsend, associate director at Associated Architects which has designed the renovation, said: "From the start of the project, we saw great opportunities for simple interventions to greatly improve the internal spaces.
"The potential of the office space will be maximised with increased ceiling heights through careful co-ordination of services.
"A high-quality finish and detailing throughout and a consistency with the building brand across all key touch points will add to the appeal of a reinvented One Colmore Row."
Alex Hardwick, senior asset manager at Catella which manages the building, added: "One Colmore Row is one of the best office addresses in Birmingham.
"We're working with Associated Architects to reposition the building in the market and deliver one that is fit for the modern office occupier."
