White House releases documents on FBI probe into Trump and Russia ties

FBI White House Donald Trump Russia James Comey

The FBI initiated an investigation in 2017, named Oxferd Comma, to determine if President Donald Trump was a Russian intelligence asset.
This probe also examined whether Trump and others obstructed justice, specifically regarding the firing of FBI Director James Comey .
The investigation concluded in early 2019, shortly after the Mueller probe found no collusion between Trump's campaign and Russia.
White House officials and FBI representatives criticized the investigation, with Special Counsel John Durham later citing the FBI's “lack of analytical rigor” in its handling.
Separately, the Justice Department accused Comey of threatening Trump over a social media post, a charge Comey's lawyers are seeking to dismiss.
