Vivek Ramaswamy Hopes 'Every Dad Is a King Today' in Father's Day X Post Following Nationwide 'No Kings' Protests

Republican politician and Ohio governor hopeful Vivek Ramaswamy posted on X for Father's Day that he hopes "every dad is a king today" following thousands of "No Kings" protests that occurred nationwide over the weekend.

The "No Kings" movement emerged as a coordinated response to President Donald Trump's 79th birthday military parade and broader concerns about what protesters call authoritarian tendencies within his administration.

The protests were timed to coincide with Flag Day and were also fueled by public backlash against an ongoing wave of aggressive federal immigration raids, especially in cities like Los Angeles.

Ramaswamy's post, shared just one day after the largest wave of "No Kings" demonstrations, could be interpreted as a swipe at the movement's message.

"Happy Father's Day! Hope every dad is a king today," he wrote on X.

While his comment was framed as a cheerful Father's Day greeting, the timing and the use of the word "king" could be construed as a dig at the protest's central theme—rejecting authoritarianism and symbolic displays of power.

X users appeared to pick up on the veiled messaging.

"Not everyone needs to be a king," wrote one user.

"People with daddy issues are busy with the no kings protest this weekend," wrote another.

Ramaswamy, a former presidential candidate and frequent culture war commentator, has not commented about the intent behind the post.
