Trump tells European leader to stop ‘interfering’ in Iran war

Donald Trump publicly criticised German Chancellor Friedrich Merz on social media.
Trump urged Merz to focus on Germany's internal issues, including the Russia/Ukraine war, immigration, and energy, rather than “interfering” with efforts to counter the “Iran Nuclear threat”.
This rebuke followed Merz's comments that Iran was “humiliating” the United States by engaging in unproductive peace talks.
Merz had specifically noted Iran's strategy of allowing US envoys to travel for talks that ultimately yielded no results.
The ongoing Iran crisis is straining relations between the US and its NATO allies, with Merz also questioning Trump's exit strategy for the conflict.
