'The Zombie Tearoom: Drop Dead Delicious' - GlasGLOW 2019 reveals 'World Nine' experience

GlasGLOW has announced its ninth and final of the upcoming world experiences at this year's extravaganza.

As reported by Glasgow Live, organisers of the sound and light spectacular at the Glasgow Botanic Gardens have been revealing the themes all week.

The last of the other dimensions being planned is 'The Zombie Tearoom: Drop Dead Delicious'. Something's gone horribly wrong. The tearoom is dead. Really dead.

The GlasGLOW team hint: "Something's gone horribly wrong. The tearoom is dead. Really dead."

And in a terrifying accompanying video, we see an unsuspecting pair enjoying a bit of afternoon tea, before things take a turn for the sinister.. whetting our appetites for the main event this autumn!

Other worlds include 'The Lair: Your Brexit’s on fire' (five) and 'Wunderbar: The bar with a million lights' (six).

As first reported last week, the extravaganza is coming back to the Botanics bigger and better than ever for 2019, after the inaugural year caused a storm.

The event sold out to 75,000 visitors in 2018, transforming the west end park into another world that included dragons, selfies with the moon and dancing fairylights galore.

This year, organisers Itison expect 100,000 people through the Botanic Garden gates.

The whole thing is costing £750,000 this year to make it “bigger, better and glowier” - and you’ll find out more about those fantasy worlds in the coming days as itison release trailers for each, so keep watching this space.

Founder Oli Norman explained: “Last year we were just warming up! This year’s looking epic and we can’t wait to share it with everyone.

“We’re introducing a majority community element to give back, so with every GLOW we can create a lasting positive impact - more will be revealed soon!”

GlasGLOW will run October 25 - November 3 and earlybird tickets go on sale on August 20 at 7.30am.

In the meantime keep an eye on glasglow.com or itisonGlasGLOW on Facebook for updates.
