Good news for everyone who loves both Joe Thomas and a good craft beer! Great Lakes Brewing Co. has announced it is producing a second season of the Joe Thomas signature “73” beer.
Thomas confirmed to me in an interview before the NFL Draft that his signature kolsch-style beer would be making a triumphant return. Now the details of the release are known.
Great Lakes Brewing will hold a release party on Aug. 7th at its Market Ave location. Thomas himself will be on hand to drink in the festivities. From the press release,
Hut, hut, brew! The football faithful in Cleveland asked and we listened. Great Lakes Brewing Co. is proud to announce the return of 73, a limited edition Kolsch-Style Ale brewed in collaboration with Cleveland football hero Joe Thomas. The light, crisp, tailgate worthy beer named for the left tackle’s uniform number will return in cans and on draft throughout Northern Ohio.
Celebrate the release of 73 with Joe Thomas at our brewpub on Wednesday, August 7. Joe will be on hand for beers and photos (no autographs, please!) beginning at 5PM.
Cans will be available in limited distribution in Northeast Ohio soon, as well as on draft in select locations.
