In a further indication of Australia's Ashes dominance Mitchell Starc has overtaken Ben Stokes in the ICC world allrounder rankings.

Starc, more commonly known as a bowler who bats, underlined his growing impact with the willow as he moved to fifth on the standings, which are led by Jason Holder. In this Ashes series the left-armer has scored 117 runs at 58.50 and taken 14 wickets at 19.64.

Stokes, who has scored 101 runs at 16.83, and taken three wickets at 62.25, is now sixth.

Marnus Labuschagne, despite being dismissed for one in his only innings in the third Test in Melbourne, remains top of the batting rankings ahead of Joe Root who scored 50 and 28. However, Steve Smith has dropped a place to fourth, his lowest position since December 2015, behind Kane Williamson.

In the bowling ranks Pat Cummins is still No.1. England's James Anderson improved his Ashes average in Australia to such a degree with 4-33 in Australia's innings that it is now better than his average against Australia in England. He moved up him three places to 5th, above Josh Hazlewood who missed the Test with injury.

Scott Boland's remarkable seven-wicket debut enabled him to make his first appearance in the rankings at 74th.
