Seven restaurants in Western Australia have been identified as high risk for the transmission of COVID-19, with visitors to the potential exposure sites at specified times required to self-quarantine.

The venues in Joondalup, Morley, Northbridge, Kardinya and East Victoria Park were identified as places where people with COVID-19 dined between April 17-22.

WA Health announced on Sunday that all of the restaurants were of higher risk as a result.

In response, ACT government has asked Canberrans to stay up to date with the latest travel advice throughout the long weekend, as Perth and Peel entered their third day of lockdown on Monday.

"The current situation is another reminder we are still living through a COVID-19 pandemic," an ACT Health spokesperson said.

"If you are travelling over the long weekend, please remember that things can change quickly.

"Regularly check the public health advice in the state or territory you are visiting and check in at venues to support contract tracing."

People who have been to a coronavirus exposure site in WA and arrived in the ACT after 8am on Saturday are required to stay home until 2am on Tuesday.

Travellers who returned from WA exposure sites before 8am on Saturday must present for a COVID-19 test and then isolate until informed of a negative result.

Additional potential exposure sites were also revealed on Sunday, including a childcare centre in Landsdale.

ACT Health said Canberrans who had been in Victoria or WA since April 17 should be checking WA Health website frequently to ensure they had not visited an exposure site.

WA Premier Mark McGowan is expected to provide an update on whether the Perth and Peel lockdown will end later today.
