Prince Andrew Was Reportedly Name Checked During Ghislaine Maxwell’s DOJ Meeting

Prince Andrew was reportedly among the hundreds of names mentioned during Ghislaine Maxwell’s recent meeting with a top US Justice Department official in Florida.

Maxwell, jailed for her role in the sex crimes of her former boyfriend Jeffrey Epstein, spent two days being questioned by Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche in relation to the Epstein scandal in a series of meetings held in Tallahassee earlier this week.

Following the meetings, Maxwell’s lawyer, David Oscar Markus, said she “answered every single question” posed by the DOJ and was “asked maybe about 100 different people”.

“There were a lot of questions and we went all day and she answered every one of them. She never said I’m not going to answer, never declined,” Markus said.

While details of the meetings remain scarce, The Daily Mail reports that the Duke of York, the third child of Queen Elizabeth II, was mentioned during Maxwell’s questioning.

It’s not known what Maxwell said about Prince Andrew, but the unconfirmed reports claim it was the “first time anyone has asked Ghislaine” about the royal family member.

Prince Andrew has long denied involvement in Epstein’s crimes, including the allegation that Virginia Giuffre, who accused him of sexual abuse, was sex-trafficked to him by Epstein when she was 17 years old.

Prince Andrew paid Giuffre an undisclosed sum to settle a civil suit in 2022. Giuffre died by suicide in April of this year.

According to The Daily Mail, a source familiar with the Maxwell’s DOJ meeting claimed she “has never told her story to anyone in government before”.

“At times it was very emotional but she answered every question asked of her.”

The source went on to claim that Prince Andrew was among “a laundry list of people” Maxwell was asked about during the meetings, with additional reported mentions of billionaire Bill Gates, former president Bill Clinton, and lawyer Alan Dershowitz, as well as a “who’s who of powerful Wall Street moneymen and financiers”, the source claimed.

“There were Silicon Valley names in there along with world leaders, other non-British royals aside from Andrew and famous names from the world of showbusiness,” they said.

“It was a monumental moment for Ghislaine to finally be asked about these people and to tell the truth.”

The reports come after President Donald Trump, who has drawn scrutiny for his administration’s handling of the Epstein case, addressed the possibility of pardoning Maxwell amid her cooperation with authorities.

“It’s something I haven’t thought about,” Trump said of a potential pardon. “I’m allowed to do it, but it’s something I have not thought about.”

Earlier this week, Markus said Maxwell’s legal team has not yet sought to cut a deal following her DOJ meetings, saying “we haven’t communicated with the president or anyone else about a pardon at this point”.

Blanche, meanwhile, said the DOJ will “share additional information about what we learned at an appropriate time”.

Maxwell is still serving her 20-year sentence and is appealing her conviction.
