- During his two-day visit, Trump is expected to hold landmark talks with President Xi Jinping this week, including on how to bring an end to the war in Iran and reopen the strait.
- The U.S. president will be greeted by Xi at 10 a.m Beijing time (3 am BST), before a state banquet is held at 6 pm.
- Apart from trade, the talks will cover a host of sensitive subjects from the Iran war to U.S. arms sales to Taiwan, the democratically governed island claimed by China.
