Pecker Testifies On Stormy Daniels Story In Court

Stormy Daniels enters federal court in Manhattan

During the ongoing trial, David Pecker, the former CEO of American Media Inc., commonly known as AMI, has been providing crucial testimony regarding his involvement in the Stormy Daniels scandal. Pecker testified that he informed then-National Enquirer editor-in-chief Dylan Howard that he wanted no part in the story involving the adult film star.

Pecker explained that when he first learned about Daniels' allegations of an affair with Donald Trump, he immediately contacted Trump's personal attorney, Michael Cohen, to avoid any potential backlash. Pecker stated that he reached out to Cohen because he believed that if Cohen heard about the story from someone else, he would react strongly.

Despite his reluctance to be associated with the Stormy Daniels story, Pecker revealed that he felt obligated to inform Cohen about it due to a prior agreement with Trump and Cohen dating back to 2015. Pecker emphasized that he had no intention of printing or purchasing the story but wanted to fulfill his commitment to the agreement.

Furthermore, Pecker mentioned that after already paying for other stories, including the doorman and Karen McDougal narratives, he made it clear to Cohen that he would not be providing any further financial support. He expressed his stance by stating that he was not willing to continue funding such stories and reiterated that he was not a financial institution.

As the prosecution continues to question Pecker, his testimony sheds light on the intricate web of relationships and agreements surrounding the Stormy Daniels scandal. The trial is expected to uncover more details as Pecker's testimony unfolds, providing valuable insights into the events leading up to the public revelation of the affair allegations.
