Macron says opening Strait of Hormuz by force is ‘unrealistic’

  • French President Emmanuel Macron dismissed the prospect of military intervention to forcibly reopen the Strait of Hormuz, despite a challenge from U.S. President Donald Trump for allies to address its closure.
  • Macron stated that military action is “unrealistic,” arguing it would be prolonged, risky, and expose vessels to attacks from Revolutionary Guards and ballistic missiles.
