King’s security under review after press dinner shooting

  • The King's security is being reviewed ahead of his state visit to the United States next week.
  • This review follows a gun attack at a Washington dinner attended by Donald Trump on Saturday night, which saw the US President swiftly evacuated by Secret Service agents.

  • The suspect, Cole Tomas Allen, 31, was allegedly carrying a shotgun and a handgun and faces charges including assaulting an officer.
  • The state visit will mark the 250th anniversary of American independence and includes meetings between the King and Camilla, and the US President and First Lady.
