Karoline Leavitt said that anything Donald Trump says is the truth as she was grilled by reporters on his 15-point Iran plan.
The US said that it has sent Tehran a list of demands it must fulfil for the war in the Middle East to end, including that it must “commit to never pursuing nuclear weapons”.
Speaking at the White House on Wednesday (25 March), the press secretary said the administration never confirmed the 15-point plan and spoke of alleged “misinformation” being spread by the media.
Asked by a reporter for more details on what information regarding the plan is correct, including Mr Trump making clear his aim to limit Iran’s ballistic missiles, Ms Leavitt replied: “If you’ve heard it from the president, then obviously it’s true.”
