Iran rejects ‘excessive’ US ceasefire plan and issues its own demands to end the war

Iran has rejected President Donald Trump’s “excessive” ceasefire plan and laid out five conditions that it says must be met to end the war.
A senior Iranian told Reuters that Iran’s initial response to the US’ 15-point proposal was “not positive” and Iran finds the demands within it “excessive.”
Iran issued its own ceasefire proposal with five conditions, calling for war reparations and sovereignty over Strait of Hormuz, The Associated Press reported.
Tehran will end the war only at a time of its own choosing and if its conditions are met, Iran's Press TV reported, citing an official.
The negotiations come as the U.S. military is preparing to deploy at least 1,000 soldiers from the 82nd Airborne Division specialized parachute assault force to the Middle East in the coming days, according to reports.
