'If I do attend, I get killed': Donald Trump says he 'has a thing called Iran' stopping him from attending son's wedding

Amid escalating tensions surrounding the Iran conflict, US President Donald Trump on Thursday said he may skip his eldest son Donald Trump Jr's wedding, joking that he would 'get killed' whether he attended the event or not.

Speaking to reporters during an Oval Office interaction, Trump said he would try to attend the wedding but suggested that the ongoing Iran situation and possible media scrutiny made the timing difficult.

"He'd like me to go… This not good timing for me. I have a thing called IRAN… If I do attend, I get killed. If I don’t attend, I get killed. By the fake news, of course," Trump said.
