Harry Kane describes ‘surreal’ golf trip with Donald Trump

Harry Kane has confirmed he was invited on a “surreal” golf trip with US president Donald Trump.

The England striker revealed Trump invited him for a round in Palm Beach, Florida, while Kane was visiting the US 18 months ago.

“It was a pretty surreal experience,” Kane told reporters ahead of England’s World Cup quarter final clash with Norway. “His golf is pretty good to be honest.”

Trump was effusive with his own praise for Kane, revealing their unlikely friendship after England’s dramatic 3-2 win over Mexico, saying: “I played golf with him and I like him a lot. He's a good golfer.”
