Hailey Bieber has shut down claims that she reposted a TikTok accusing her husband Justin Bieber of “abuse” and “mediocrity”, calling out the internet for being “really bored” and insisting she never shared the clip from her own account.
The drama kicked off after screenshots and screen recordings circulated online that appeared to show the video sitting in her TikTok reposts tab, before allegedly vanishing. Hailey has now publicly denied tapping that repost button, while the original TikTok continues to dissect her marriage as if it’s a group assignment.
On 10 January, Hailey addressed the situation via Instagram Stories after users claimed she’d briefly reposted the viral TikTok before quietly deleting it.
“Hey! I know you guys who live on the internet are really bored, but I didn’t repost any video speaking on my relationship. Have a beautiful Saturday!” she wrote, making it very clear she’s not here for strangers narrating her private life like it’s their own.
The post came as X (formerly Twitter) and TikTok were flooded with side-by-side screenshots and zoomed-in recordings that, according to some fans, showed the clip under her reposts tab.
The TikTok at the centre of the storm was posted on 8 January by user @bdr3391 and takes aim at what she calls “tolerant co-dependent” relationships, using Hailey and Justin as the supposed gold-standard example.
“Most long-term relationships that we romanticise and congratulate only work because the woman is a tolerant co-dependent,” the creator says in the video. “And when I say tolerant, I mean she tolerates mediocrity, abuse, doing the majority of domestic and emotional labor, in exchange for being in a relationship. And that is a contract that I am opting out of.”
She then adds, “There is no better example than Hailey Bieber and Justin Bieber. People are wondering how this relationship is still lasting, it’s because Hailey is a tolerant codependent woman. Hailey will never leave Justin.”
In the same clip, the creator goes further, alleging “Justin is an addict” and claiming that an “addicted partner is always an abusive partner”, arguing that a relationship cannot be truly equal under those conditions. The video frames the couple’s marriage as one that survives purely because Hailey supposedly “tolerates that abuse”, while social media commenters debate whether the repost was an honest mistake, a glitch, or never happened at all.
TikTok users quickly piled into the comments of the original video, pointing out that it appeared in Hailey’s reposts tab, with one writing, “Hailey realising that she accidentally reposted,” and another adding, “Hailey Bieber reposted, there’s no waaaay.”
This is far from the first time Hailey has had to wade through heavy commentary about her relationship with Justin, which has essentially been public property since they first went Instagram official years ago. The pair married in a New York City civil ceremony in 2018, held a larger wedding with more than 150 guests the following year, and welcomed their son, Jack Blues, in August 2024. A source later told PEOPLE that working through their “challenges” over the years has only made them feel more like “soulmates”, saying that becoming parents has “deepened their bond” and that Jack is “the centre of everything for them”.
In multiple interviews, Hailey has talked about how relentless the speculation can feel. She assumed the noise would die down with time, only to realise that the internet is as committed to dissecting the marriage she’s actually committed to living. In Vogue’s May 2025 issue she said, “Well, I thought seven years in it would’ve already, and it hasn’t,” adding, “You would think after having a child, people would maybe move on, chill out a little bit, but no.”
