A woman is in a critical condition after a four vehicle crash.
The PSNI issued an update on last night's collision on the Glenshane pass which saw the road being closed for a significant amount of time.
Police attended a four-vehicle road traffic collision shortly before 6.30 pm on Wednesday, December 8, on the Glenshane Road, Derry.
The collision occurred near the Claudy area of the Glenshane Road.
One woman involved in the collision was taken to hospital where she remains in a critical condition.
The road, which was closed for a number of hours has since reopened.
A PSNI spokeswoman said: "Police attended a four-vehicle road traffic collision shortly before 6.30 pm on Wednesday (8 December) on the Glenshane Road, Derry/Londonderry.
"One woman was taken to hospital where she remains in a critical condition. The road, which was closed for a number of hours has since reopened."
