Florida woman pleaded with 911 and yelled ‘you’re killing me’ as her boyfriend fatally stabbed her, cops say

Kyle Sanchez is accused of killing his girlfriend, Amanda Roark, while she was on the phone with 911 operators, who could hear her begging for her life - (Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office)

A Florida woman could be heard pleading for her life on a 911 call and telling her boyfriend, “you’re f***ing killing me as he stabbed her to death, authorities said.

Kyle Sanchez, 35, is accused of killing his girlfriend, Amanda Roark, 37, while they were at their Tampa home together Friday afternoon, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said.

Police arrived at their home after receiving a 911 call around 3 p.m., during which they could hear a woman pleading for her life with her attacker.

“Please stop,” she said, according to court documents obtained by WFLA. “You’re f***ing killing me.”

Authorities found the woman, whom they identified as Roark, dead inside the home with multiple stab wounds and cuts.

According to the court documents, part of the call was inaudible, and the dispatcher was unable to get details about the situation or an address to send police to.

However, Sanchez called 911 around 10 minutes later and confirmed that there had been an emergency at his home. When asked what the emergency was, he told the dispatcher, “Um, I murdered my girlfriend,” according to the documents.

During the call with the dispatcher, Sanchez said his girlfriend was “beyond help.” When asked what happened, he said he had “a very unfriendly urge” and grabbed a knife.

When police arrived at the home, they were met by Sanchez, who was “covered in blood” when he opened the door.

Authorities said Roark had multiple defensive wounds on her hands and a deep laceration on the left side of her neck. There was blood found on doors, walls and furniture throughout the three-story home, police said.

Roark was pronounced dead at the scene.

The court documents accuse Sanchez of stabbing Roark to death “unlawfully, intentionally and with premeditation.” Sanchez was charged with first-degree murder. He was denied bond until his pretrial detention hearing, which has been set for Tuesday.
