A MALLABULA woman has been arrested and charged for high range drink driving after she was involved in a crash with a road sign.
On Monday residents on the Tilligerry Peninsula noticed a vehicle driving in an erratic manner. Moments later the car careened off the road and hit a give way sign at the intersection of Lemon Tree Passage Road and Fairlands Road, Mallabula.
After colliding with the sign the woman continued driving to an address in Mallabula and upon stopping the vehicle was allegedly seen to fall from the driver's seat onto the road, police said.
Police were called and the woman, 35, was submitted to a road-side breath test where she allegedly returned a positive reading of .370, more than seven times the legal limit.
She was arrested and taken to Lemon Tree Passage police station where her breath was analysed returning a reading of .275.
Her license was suspended and she was issued with a court attendance notice for high range drink driving to attend Raymond Terrace Court next month.
