Offshore wind averages around £97/MWh, while onshore wind is closer to £77/MWh. Gas, meanwhile, has surged to roughly £108/MWh following instability in the Middle East.
Unlike fossil fuels, renewables such as wind and solar are far less exposed to wars and supply shocks, making them far less vulnerable to global crises and sudden price spikes.
