Dennistoun bank to close for over a week after positive coronavirus case

A bank in Dennistoun will remain closed for over a week after being linked to a positive coronavirus case. 

A branch of TSB bank on Duke Street closed last week and will reopen Tuesday, October 13, as reported by the Glasgow Times.

The number of positive cases has not been confirmed. 

Officials reassured the closure is to ensure the safety of staff and customers. 

A TSB spokesman said: “Our Dennistoun branch store has closed due to positive testing for COVID-19 with and will reopen again on Tuesday 13th October.

"We take the safety of both customers and colleagues very seriously and have social distancing measures in place throughout our branch network to keep everyone safe."

In Scotland 4,633 positive cases have been reported this week, while 1,720 have been recorded in the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde region.
