Brian Kennedy opened up for the first time about the 'shock' he felt when being told he was cancer free.
The Irish singer was making his first live TV appearance since being given the good news by his doctors.
The 52-year-old told the Six O'Clock show: "It's almost like being told you have cancer. You can't believe it.
"I didn't jump up or down. I thanked the doctor and then walked out where I'd had my chemo.

"There were people sitting around who's faces I knew. I then walked into the sunshine.
"It was as quiet as that, it was as still as that, I suppose I must have been in shock I think."

The Belfast man - who represented Ireland in the Eurovision in 2006 - also spoke about living in the moment and the effect living with cancer has had on him.
He said: "I thought I was empathetic beforehand and now if somebody cuts me off in traffic or is rude to me I just think, 'I wonder what they're going through?', maybe they're going through something difficult."
The Six O'Clock show airs on Virgin Media One, Monday to Thursday, 6-7pm
