Border Patrol apprehended two migrants using wooden planks in an attempt to cross into the U.S. through an international bridge.
The incident took place in El Paso, authorities noted in a social media publication. "What are these two doing? These two illegal aliens were caught using wood planks to sneak into the U.S. under the bridge between the support beams, which are just over 30 feet above the busy border highway," the publication reads.
The migrants were brought down and taken to a port of entry for processing. The case took place less than two weeks after agents brought down a migrant who got stuck in the concertina wire at the top of the southern border wall.
Border Report noted that the person had minor scrapes and was taken to a processing center in El Paso. "Don't get stuck!" Border Patrol said on social media. "Do not attempt to cross the border illegally! We will find and remove you!"
A similar episode took place in October, when agents rescued another migrant at the top of the wall who had been abandoned there by smugglers.
"Smugglers don't care if you make it. They only care if you pay," said Border Patrol's El Paso Sector interim director Walter Slosar in a social media publication.
The episode took place near Fabens, Texas, after agents spotted the man and called the San Elizario Fire Department and medics. The man, a Mexican national, was unharmed. He was then processed for removal.
Moreover, in June, three migrants were taken down from the border fence after getting stuck while attempting to cross.
The men were found near San Diego's Otay Mesa Port of Entry. They had tried to scale the fence using a carpet to cover the concertina fence at the top of the wall, but ended up stranded at the top unable to climb down.
After being spotted by border agents, the San Diego Fire Department arrived and helped the migrants down. They were taken into custody and to a Border Patrol station for processing.
