Manchester United fans were not impressed with the manner of the victory against Aston Villa in the FA Cup third round.
Scott McTominay 's first-half goal separated the two sides as interim boss Ralf Rangnick navigated his side into the fourth round of the cup.
The German boss named a strong line-up in the all-Premier League clash but once again saw his United side struggle to assert themselves on the game and were fortunate to not concede when VAR ruled out a Danny Ings header due to an earlier offside in the build-up.
Goalkeeper David de Gea was once again on hand to keep his side in-front and though the Old Trafford crowd saw their team carve out a few half chances, the overall performance from United was below par.
It comes on the back of a 1-0 Wolves defeat which led to leaked stories of players being unhappy with the pedigree of the Rangnick and his staff.
And United fans took to social media in the immediate aftermath of the win to voice this dissatisfaction with what they saw under the Old Trafford lights.
