Aldi is releasing a foot-long sushi roll and people can’t wait for it

Aldi shoppers are already loving its new Specialbuy sushi product - and it is not even available to buy yet.

The supermarket chain has announced it will be releasing a foot-long sushi roll to mark the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and shoppers are already excited.

The roll comes in two flavours - katsu chicken topped with black sesame seeds and crispy onions and smoked salmon rolled in mixed sesame seeds.

The roll will cost £2.49 and will be available to buy in stores from Thursday, July 22.

But Aldi has warned that shoppers will need to be quick as once the rolls are gone, they are gone!

With more than 490 comments on their Instagram post announcing the new product, it seems customers cannot wait for it to hit the shelves.

One tagged somebody else saying: "Guess where we're going on the 22nd..." with a winky face emoji.

Another said: "Dreams do come true!!!" followed by a heart eyes emoji.

Tagging another person one said: "Yes!! Payday treat!"

With another also tagging somebody else saying: "We need this" with a fish emoji.
