A.J. Green, Geno Atkins land on a top 100 for 2019 list

The Cincinnati Bengals haven’t been doing too well on top lists this offseason.

Joe Mixon and Co. weren’t included on a list of top 25 players under 25 and every Bengals player was left off a top 50 for the 2019 season.

But a new top 100 didn’t forget the Bengals. A.J. Green and Geno Atkins just made the CBS Sports top 100 of 2019 from Pete Prisco at 31 and 37, respectively.

Prisco wrote the following about Green: “Injuries shortened his 2018 season, but he remains a big-play threat and one of the best in the NFL.”

Of Atkins: “He continues to be a force inside for the Cincinnati defense. He plays the run but can also push the pocket.”

Mixon is also at the bottom in the “just missed” category, for what it’s worth.

More than anything else, it’s nice to see Bengals stars getting some recognition nationally. Last year was a disaster, but Atkins was his usual self and Green merely struggled with injuries.

In future years, players such as Tyler Boyd, Mixon, William Jackson and Jessie Bates might join stars such as Green and Atkins on lists like this.
