HYDERABAD: As the inflows kept increasing on Friday, too, officials of Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB), opened two more floodgates of the Himayatsagar reservoir. With this, seven of seventeen of the reservoir's gates were lifted in the span of three days.

HYDERABAD: Since Thursday morning, heavy inflows are continuously arriving to the Himayathsagar reservoir due to incessant rains in upstream areas, officials of Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) lifted two more floodgates at around 6.30 pm, and discharging 1,716 cusecs of water into River Musi.

HYDERABAD: Now, two out of 15 floodgates of Osmansagar, one of the drinking water sources to Hyderabad City, popularly known as ‘Gandipet,’ also lifted, on Thursday evening, by the officials of Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB).

HYDERABAD: After Osmansagar and Himayatsagar reservoirs reached the brim, heavy inflows into two other drinking water sources, Manjira and Singoor reservoirs, have also been rising and due to recent incessant rains in upstream areas of Maharashtra and Karnataka (Bidar), water levels are near to its full tank levels (FTLs).
