Yaya Touré took part in the open segment of Manchester City’s training session on Monday morning, following a muscle injury.
The problem ruled the Ivorian out of Saturday’s 2-0 defeat at Stoke City. Manuel Pellegrini had indicated that Touré would not be available for Tuesday’s Champions League group game with Borussia Mönchengladbach at the Etihad Stadium.
Martín Demichelis was not present during the opening 15 minutes of the session, however, suggesting that Nicolás Otamendi will partner Eliaquim Mangala in central defence as Vincent Kompany is still suffering from a calf injury.
City have to beat the German club and hope Sevilla defeat Juventus to ensure they win the group and have a better chance of a favourable last-16 tie.
As expected Sergio Agüero did not train either – the striker is nursing an injured foot.
