A woman was threatened at knifepoint during a shocking daylight robbery in Burscough.
The woman, who was in her 40s, was walking on Liverpool Road North at around 11.45am on Monday when she was robbed by a man holding a knife.
He stole her handbag before fleeing from the scene on the back of a scrambler bike.

The bike was being ridden by a second person and is said to have travelled in the direction of Mill Lane.
The woman was uninjured during the incident according to Lancashire Police, who are now appealing for information.
A police spokesperson said: "We were called about a report of a robbery in Burscough.
"Around 11.45am on Monday (July 12) a woman in her 40s was walking on Liverpool Road North when she was robbed by a man holding a knife.
"The man took the victim’s bag before making off from the scene on an off road bike ridden by a second person.
"The woman was not injured.
