Wishaw charity's biggest fundraiser returns after three year absence

A Wishaw charity’s major fundraising event is back - three years after its last big money spinner.

The Les Hoey MBE DreamMaker Foundation has announced plans to hold its DreamMaker Ball at the Crowne Plaza in Glasgow on September 3.

It has been a long three years for everyone but especially for those working behind the scenes at the charity which helps kids with life-limiting illnesses achieve their dreams.

The charity’s DreamMaker co-ordinator, Angela Cook, told Lanarkshire Live: “We are so excited to eventually say that the tickets go on sale.

“Since the ticket went on sale on Monday half the tables are already away which is incredible.

“As you would expect the costs have went up with holding such an event but the charity has tried to absorb as much of the cost as possible.

“If you have been to the event you will know the value for money you get on the night.”

The ball will follow the format of previous years a three course meal, entertainment, auction and raffles with prizes of £50 and above.

The 2019 event raised an incredible £68,000 with auction items including hospitality packages for Manchester United, Rangers and Celtic as well as a VIP experience to see Little Mix, signed goodies from Lewis Capaldi and Ed Sheeran plus signed boxing memorabilia from the late Muhammad Ali and ‘The Gypsy King’ Tyson Fury.

If you would like to attend the DreamMaker Ball, a table of 10 costs £1000 with single seats available at £100.

If you would like to join the charity for a fantastic night then secure your tickets with 50 per cent non refundable deposit.

For those who have already paid a deposit for the previous DreamMaker Ball then get in touch with the charity and they will amend your booking.

Call 01698 372 052 to book your tickets.
