When is the FA Cup 1st round draw and how to watch it live

The draw for the first round of the 2020/21 FA Cup will be made next week, with clubs in Leagues One and Two entering the competition.

A whole host of non-league clubs have been battling their way through the qualifying rounds in recent weeks and are now within striking distance of landing themselves a glamour tie against one of the EFL’s elite, including the likes of Bolton Wanderers, Portsmouth and Sunderland.

The draw will take place at around 7:10pm on Monday evening ahead of Bishop's Stortford’s clash with St Albans City, which will be the final tie of the fourth qualifying round weekend. Both the draw and the match will be available to watch live on BT Sport.

The clash between Bishop’s Stortford and St Albans is one of 31 ties taking place in the fourth qualifying round this weekend, meaning 62 clubs will all be sharing the same aim of joining 48 clubs from Leagues One and Two in the first round proper.

Every tie taking place in the final qualifying round will be decided on the day, with no replays being staged during the qualifying rounds.

A statement released by the FA on this matter back in August read: “In order to assist in easing pressure on the football schedule, there will be no replays for the 2020-21 season in the qualifying competition.”

Arsenal won last season’s FA Cup, defeating Chelsea 2-1 in the final at Wembley.

Sunderland lost 1-0 to a first-round replay to Gillingham in last season's competition, with promotion again the only focus for Phil Parkinson and Co.
