Watch: Cork bridesmaids push broken down car to get to church on time

What lengths would you go to to make it to the church on time? That was the dilemma facing a group of eight bridesmaids who, after a morning of preparation and military precision, found their plans in disarray due to a broken down car.

With the bridesmaids stuck behind the car, they had little choice but to roll up their sleeves and push the car (uphill!) to clear a pathway for their vintage bus.

The brilliant video was posted by Farrell's Bar in Youghal, one of the most popular spots in the East Cork town.

One of the bridesmaids, Sinead O'Regan, told Corkbeo.ie that "something had to make us late" as bride-to-be Donna O'Sullivan was known for being late herself.

"We did what we had to do, there were three cars in front of us and nobody was getting out!

"We were a bit late so we couldn't tell anyone at the church but it got a few mentions in the speeches!" Sinead added.

Bride and groom Michael Cronin are both from Youghal and Donna has worked in Farrell's Bar for many years.
