A controversial union watchdog will receive an $8 million federal budget funding boost.
The cash injection for Registered Organisations Commission, which also regulates employer associations, is likely to rankle unions which have pushed for it to be scrapped.
Industrial Relations Minister Michaelia Cash said the extra money would ensure registered organisations followed the law and their members' interests were protected.
Labor leader Anthony Albanese has pledged to abolish the "discredited and politicised" ROC if he becomes prime minister after the next election.
The Morrison government will also spend $10 million on technology solutions to help employers meet pay and conditions obligations under awards.
Senator Cash said business software developers would be able to feed award information directly into payroll systems at a lower cost.
"This will make it easier and cheaper for business to comply with awards, pay staff correctly and give them greater confidence to hire new employees," she said.
Another $5.4 million will be spent on the Asbestos Safety and Eradication Agency.
