Two men rushed to hospital after cops called to Glasgow street brawl

A man has been taken to hospital after police were called to an alleged disturbance in a Glasgow street.

Officers were called to reports of a brawl between two men on Williamson Street on Sunday night.

A 23-year-old man was rushed to Glasgow Royal Infirmary after cops found him injured.

Police then raced to Duke Street and arrested a 20-year-old man in possession of an offensive weapon.

He was also injured and taken to hospital for treatment.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Around 9:30pm on Sunday, 28 June, 2020, police received a report of a disturbance involving two men in Williamson Street. Glasgow. 

"Officers attended and found a 23-year-old injured man. 

"He was taken to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary.

"Officers also attended Duke Street (near Springfield Road) and arrested a 20-year-old man in possession of an offensive weapon.

"Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact police via 101.
