Mountain Lions: Big Cats In High Places – Natural World
8pm, BBC2

David Attenborough takes us down to cougar town. Against the dramatic but inhospitable backdrop of the Rocky mountains in Wyoming, tracker Mark Elbroch and his team use GPS collars to keep tabs on big tabbies: two female mountain lions and their litters. Observing them over the course of a year provides unexpected insights into the social behaviour of these creatures at a time when mountain lion numbers have halved in the past decade. Graeme Virtue

The Bank: A Matter Of Life And Debt
9pm, BBC2

Years on from the financial crisis, trust in banks remains, as it’s put in this first of a three-part series, at “an all-time low”. This is something those who toil at the NatWest in Huddersfield know only too well, especially as these likable workers are under pressure to improve the branch’s customer service score. The interview in which acting manager Claire discusses her modest salary is especially revealing about the differences between banking as practised on the high street and what goes on in the City. Jonathan Wright

Don’t Blame The Council
9pm, ITV

It’s good to see any media reporting of local government, the scrutiny and celebration of which has been woefully curtailed by dwindling local newspapers. This documentary examines Wigan council’s attempts to wean itself off increasingly parsimonious government grants by repurposing itself as a profit-making entity; among its recent wheezes was lending its budget surplus at interest to other local authorities. As the film demonstrates, however, it’s not easy to get a public body to think like a private one. Andrew Mueller

No Offence
9pm, Channel 4

It’s the last in the series of the cop drama and you wouldn’t expect the formidable DI Viv Deering (Joanna Scanlan) and her team to bow out quietly. Jonah (Ste Johnson) finds his job in danger when he’s involved in a disastrous attempt to save the life of a mother and her baby. Meanwhile, two of the force’s most fabulous women, Deering and Dinah, clash head-on. Warmhearted, straight-talking and a little bit wrong to the end, a second series of Paul Abbott’s quirky police drama would be welcome. Hannah Verdier

Tattoo Fixers
10pm, E4

Have you accidentally had Andy Murray’s face inked on to your bum cheek? Yes? Then you need to call Sketch, Lou and Jay: the Tattoo Fixers. Edd asked his best mate for a smiley face on his leg, but the amateur tattoo artist opted for a penis instead. Punctuation-flouting Sam has had “Im on me holidays” tattooed on his arm, much to the horror of his bride-to-be. The Fixers love a filthy cackle at these unhappy customers, but they then come up with works of art to cover up their blunders. HV

Imagine: Frank Gehry
10.35pm, BBC1

His works have been compared to a motorway pile-up and a pile of beer cans, while his art-critic neighbour once trained his dog to relieve himself on his “deconstructed” house. Yes, the work of architect Frank Gehry tends to divide people, as Alan Yentob relates in this affectionate portrait of the uncompromising icon of modernity, following his commission to reshape Sydney’s University of Technology in his own inimitable way. Features Philip Glass on the soundtrack; seemingly mandatory for any doc about modern architecture. Ali Catterall

Broad City
11pm, Comedy Central

There’s a pointed dig at Friends in tonight’s episode of Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson’s comedy about twentysomethings struggling to make a living in New York. Abbi goes flat-hunting after she comes home to find her housemate’s boyfriend jerking off to Julianna Margulies. But no improbably large apartments for her; instead, she’s shown a corridor masquerading as an abode and one with a bed inches from the ceiling. The highlight is a scene in which Abbi has a Missy Elliott-style daydream about making a bank deposit. David Stubbs
