Tributes have been paid to a 'one of a kind' Scot after police found a body in a Perthshire river.
We told how officers recovered the body of a man in the River Tay near Perth on Sunday afternoon.
The tragic discovery was made at around 2.20pm.
Police confirmed that, while formal identification was yet to take place, the family of Malcolm Robertson had been informed.
Malcolm, 61, was reported missing from Perth on Friday.
The news sparked an outpouring of grief from loved ones who paid tribute to Malcom through public, social media posts.
One wrote: "So so sad.
"He was one of a kind, absolute heart of gold and one of the funniest guys I've ever met.
"Gutted to hear this.
"RIP Malcs."
Another added: "Aw Malcs, will never forget you pal.
"So thankful for all the years we worked together, I was so lucky to have known you.
"You were a one off and a man in a million, RIP."
A third posted: "You were one of a kind, Malkie and you always made us laugh at work.
"The world will be a sadder place without you, RIP."
And another commented: "So sad.
"Malky was an absolute diamond and had a heart of gold."
Tayside Police released a statement on Sunday.
It read: "At around 2.20pm on Sunday, December 12 the body of a man was found in the River Tay near Perth.
"Formal identification has still to take place, however, the family of 61-year-old Malcolm Robertson, who had been reported missing from Perth on Friday, December 10 have been informed.
"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the exact cause of death which is not being treated as suspicious.
"A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal."
