These are all the food items which have slowly disappeared from Greggs stores

Greggs is a favourite up and down the country and it's no different in Bristol, where we have three stores just in the city centre.

New classics have graced the shop fronts, such as the vegan sausage roll and vegan steak bake.

But old classics have slowly died off as a result of this.

ChronicleLive reports that the bakery chain says the items they sell vary across different regions in the UK, so it's possible that you might get certain products in some shops but not others.

Where in the UK has the most Greggs stores?

Here we have listed 11 things that are not seen in our stores any more.

1. Chicken katsu bake

In 2016, Greggs started selling this lower fat bake after seeing a rise in business from customers looking for healthier options. You may struggle to find one of these now.

2. Meat and potato slice

Plenty of people have been mourning the loss of this tasty bake.

3. Steak and cheese roll

This combination has also disappeared over time. But Greggs have been urged to bring it back.

One person said on Twitter: "Seriously, when will you bring back steak and cheese roll."

Another added: "What do I need to do for you to bring the steak and cheese roll back?"

4. Ham and cheese pasty

This yummy pasty was ditched years ago. However many fans are hoping the old favourite will be put on sale again.

One Twitter user said: "Why the f*** did Greggs get rid of the ham and cheese pasty? Been waiting on the comeback for years."

5. Vegetable madras bake

You might have tried this back in 2016. Greggs trialled it under its Balanced Choice range.

6. Vegetable bake

Some Greggs customers have been missing this one.

"We would really like the old vegetable bake back please," said one fan on Twitter.

7. Festive pizza

This used to come out at Christmas time with turkey, bacon and stuffing on top. These days, the festive bake is all the rage.

8. Rainbow muffin

A firm favourite with those who have a sweet tooth. It had multi-coloured bits of chocolate on the top, hence the name.

9. The Greggsnut

Back in 2013, Greggs launched their own version of a 'cronut', a croissant-doughnut hybrid, and called it the Greggsnut.

One fan told us: "They were absolutely beautiful. Flaky, sugar drenched pastry, silky smooth salted caramel, the crunch of a few nuts to offset the richness. I was devastated when they stopped appearing in shops."

10. Ham and pease pudding stottie

This was loved by a lot of Geordies. But these stotties haven't been seen in the shops for a while.

11. Chips

We have been told by a reliable source that Greggs used to sell chips years ago. Yes, chips. No sight of them now.
