Tottenham could face a stretched West Ham United on Sunday with David Moyes sweating on two injury concerns.
The Hammers are operating with a reduced squad this season having seen a number of players depart in the summer.
And they are not helped by an injury setback in the form of Arthur Masuaku, who withdrew from the DR Congo squad to face Burkina Faso due to a knee injury.
The defender has played three of West Ham's opening four Premier League games but could leave Moyes sweating on his fitness ahead of Sunday.
Though, it is hoped he will be fit in time, and the same can be said of fellow defender Ryan Fredericks.
The former Fulham full-back suffered a low-grade muscle injury to his hamstring in West Ham's 4-0 win over Wolves in late September.
He has been out since but in his original diagnosis, it was estimated he could return after the October international break.
“Ryan felt discomfort in his left hamstring while supporting an attack during Sunday’s win and was unable to carry on,” West Ham's head of medical Richard Collinge said at the time.
“He underwent a preliminary examination on Sunday evening before undergoing a scan at hospital on Monday afternoon. The results of that scan confirmed our initial prognosis and he has already begun a programme of rehabilitation.
“Should everything go to plan, we hope Ryan will be available for selection again after the October international break.”
Issa Diop was also among the concerns having tested positive for coronavirus in recent weeks, but he is now back with the first-team and in contention for the clash with Spurs this weekend.
Tottenham and West Ham have made similar starts to the season with Jose Mourinho's men picking up one point more from the first four games.
Though, the Hammers will, no doubt, prove difficult opponents this weekend with Moyes' men coming into this one off the back of a 3-0 win over the previously unbeaten Leicester and a 4-0 win over Wolves.
