The Casteless Collective is a band of socially and musically diverse musicians from Chennai in southern India.
Their music combines an energetic mix of folk music and traditional gaana art from the slum area in the city’s north with modern styles of rap and rock.
Formed under the direction of renowned Tamil director and anti-caste activist Pa Rajinth, the band uses their music and growing fan base across India to highlight social issues such as caste discrimination, violence against women, corruption and land rights.
