Texans QB Deshaun Watson wastes zero time in working to improve from loss to Panthers

You either get it, or you don’t. Deshaun Watson gets it.

After a 16-10 loss to the Carolina Panthers, the Houston Texans quarterback didn’t falter; he stayed at NRG Stadium, bringing his personal quarterback coach, Quincy Avery, alongside himself to practice rather than rest.

As recorded by Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle, Watson remained at the stadium, trying to make corrections on his game.

Watson had an ugly performance on Sunday. He went 21 for 33 for 160 yards, took six sacks and finished with a 75.3 passer rating. Though he ran in for a touchdown, he ultimately had one of his worst performances as a pro, errantly missing passes, holding on to the ball too long, failing to diagnose blitzes and doing far from enough to win the game.

“I’ve got to take my game to another level,” as Watson said after his nightmarish Week 4. He’s already at work doing just that.

Watson will show whether he’s stepped his game up next week against the Atlanta Falcons in Houston.
