There were conflicting reports coming out yesterday centered around quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. A Miami native, Bridgewater was reportedly on Miami’s shortlist at quarterback, but was heading back to New Orleans to continue backing up Drew Brees.
Done deal. Or so we thought. It turns out a return to South Florida isn’t off the table for Bridgewater just yet.
The latest twist in this story comes from Ben Volin of the Boston Globe. Bridgewater is visiting Miami at their facility this evening. To compound this development, Dianna Russini of ESPN has reported that while the Saints are still confident they will sign Bridgewater, a deal is not imminent. We could very well be seeing the beginning of the Teddy Era in Miami, less than a day after it seemed that path was closed.
