The emotions are still settling in after the New York Giants lost to their equally inept co-tenants, the New York Jets, 34-27, on Sunday at MetLife Stadium.
Several players flashed while others crashed. Here’s quick rundown from Sunday’s game.

Stock Up: Wide receiver Darius Slayton
Slayton, coming off a down week against Dallas (one reception for six yards), exploded all over the Jets’ secondary grabbing 10 of 14 targets for 121 yards and two touchdowns.
Slayton, a fifth round pick out of Auburn in this year’s NFL Draft has forged a sold rapport with quarterback Daniel Jones and now has five receiving touchdowns on the season, tied for the NFL lead among rookies.
Stock Down: Running back Saquon Barkley
No question Barkley’s performance is concerning. He’s been back from his high ankle sprain for three games now and does not appear to have fully recovered from the injury.
Barkley carried the football 13 times against the Jets, gaining just one yard and his pass blocking, an aspect of his game he prides himself in, has taken a step back. He was blown up twice by Jets safety Jamal Adams, with both plays resulting in fumbles by Daniel Jones. One was recovered by Barkley. The other was taken on for a touchdown by Adams.

Stock Up: Defensive lineman Dalvin Tomlinson
After getting stonewalled by the Dallas Cowboys’ offensive line, Tomlinson had a nice bounce-back game, leading the Giants in tackles with nine (two solo), one for a loss and a sack of Sam Darnold.
Tomlinson has been more assertive this season and seems to benefit from his two new linemates — Dexter Lawrence and Leonard Williams. He is making a case for the Giants to extend his contract, which is up after the 2020 season.
Stock Down: Defensive lineman B.J. Hill
Hill had been playing nearly 60% of the snaps before Leonard Williams got here. Now he’s only on about 25%. That is not a good sign as his career begins to head in the wrong direction after a solid rookie year in 2018.
Hill has no sacks, no tackles for a loss and no QB hits in the Giants’ first 10 games this season. Williams has basically replaced Hill whereas many thought Williams would augment the defensive line along with Hill. Instead, he’s vulturing snaps and playing time from him.

Stock Up: Wide receiver Golden Tate
Tate has been nothing but aces for the Giants. Does he make Giant fans forget Odell Beckham Jr.? Probably not, but he came here with a track record of production and is adding to his lengthy resume with each passing week.
On Sunday, Tate caught four passes for 95 yards with two touchdowns against the Jets. He won’t reach his averages for the last six seasons (89 catches, 1,003 yards) due to the four game suspension he served at the beginning of the season, but he’s proving to be a solid addition to the Giants.
Stock Down: Tight end Evan Engram
Engram missed his second game of the season due to injury on Sunday. This time he has a sprain in the middle of his foot. This is Engram’s third season and he has yet to play a full one.
Yes, he has the explosiveness that makes him so very attractiveness, but the Giants will have to make a decision on Engram’s fifth-year option this coming offseason. The injury history is going to play into that. I’m guessing they”ll do it. There is also the possibility they deal Engram this offseason rather than extend him.
